2010 Le Mans Winner

What a shock news from Le mans.... None of the Peugeot make it to the finish line. On the other hand, all three Audi R15 Plus competing in the 78th Le mans 24 HR crossed the finished line for top three podium places. A very sweet victory for Audi indeed after seeing their crowed took by Peugeot last year. It would has been a different story if all factory backed Peugeot 908 HDI FAP didn't face the mechanical reliability. The Audi don't seem to have the pace to catch up with those Peugeot at early stage of the race (before disaster stuck on these Peugeots). I believe the Peugeot will come back stronger next year. For now cheers to all the Audi crews for their excellent jobs!

24 Heures du Mans 2010

The biggest motor racing event in 2010 calendar is here! The legendary 24 Heures du Mans 2010 race is scheduled on next weekend (12 & 13th June).... Like million of fans around the globe, this is my favorite motor racing...

It's showtime for Peugeot again, having won the last year event with their diesel powered HDi FAP. I'm sure they are hunger for another victory!!!

But... Audi sure will go all out putting every effort to regain their winner status again this year... With Strong race the R15 showed at the 24 HR spa last month (wrong tyre choice and wet track that denied them to victory), I'm sure the race LMP1 race is going to be close this time. I expect a close battle between Audi R15 Plus and Peugeot HDi FAP.

Let's not denied the Lola Aston Martin LMP1. It's a fact that the rival diesel powered car holds a strong advantage over the petrol engine car... Who knows with a little bid of luck, we might be able to see them end up with podium finishes this year...

While in LMP2 class, I'm going to put my money on the newcomer... Highcroft Racing with their HPD ARX01 driven by veteran drivers David Brabham, Marino Franchitti and Marco Werner... with such impressive drivers line up. I can't see any reason why they can't win the race (unless accident or mechanical failure).

While things have gone slightly anticlimax in GT1 category. With Corvette Racing stop contesting in this class, fortunately we have a newcomer. Team MATECH will contests two Ford GT1 this year. Wow! one of the Ford GT is driven by an all ladies team... Very interesting indeed..

While the GT2 may be the slowest class but it will features some BIG name in the GT racing world.
Oliver Gavin, the man synonymous with Corvette will be back again to charge his #64 C6 ZR1 round the front, he'll be chased by a whole host of fantastic machinery...
